ABOUT SRMM -

"Shriram Mitra Mandal" was started on Saturday, 23rd, Sept., 2006. The Mandal organises Sundarkand with Hanuman Chalisa and Aarti with sound and music followed by
a single sweet as 'Prasad' on
every Saturday from sharp 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm at member's house or any temple. Sundarkand begins with 'Aavahan' and ends with 'Bidai'. The Mandal has its own musical instruments.

The speciality of the Mandal is that it has only members, no governing body. We believe “Shri Ram” as President and “Shri Hanuman” as Secretary. Currently, there are total 133 members. Members as well as many devotees come with their families from different caste & location to attend Sundarkand.

Ashokkumarji Ghai took the opportunity to organise first Sundarkand
on Saturday, 23rd, Sept., 2006
at his place. It is decided to take at least one Sundarkand by each member in a year. A member must attend 30 Sundarkands in a year to maintain the glory of our Mandal. Membership will be considered at the low attendance and late arrivals in Sundarkand.

Once in a year on tuesday, the Mandal conducts a family trip outside of Bhandara to organise Sundarkand at Hanuman Temple. Till now we have visited Adyal, Chandpur, Jamsavli, Telenkhedi, Chichad (Pathri), Ramtek, Sewa (Wardha), Ramdevbaba (Nagpur), Mandavdevi, Lasanpur, Babulkheda etc.

Our mandal organises a special Sundarkand on Ram Navmi and Hanuman Janmotsav every year.

Between Dussehra & Diwali, the Mandal celebrates "Warshikotsav" (Annual Day) of Sundarkand with family and many invitees at Shivhare Lawns, Station Road, Bhandara which is followed by a dinner.

On April 11, 2017, we organized Sundarkand at Umiya Dham, Pardi, Nagpur and on July 25, 2017 we organized Sundarkand at Swaminarayan Mandir, Ring Road, Nagpur.
On July 17, 2017, we organized Sundarkand in Salasar (Rajsthan), where over 100 devotees from Bhandara participated. During that 3 days visit, we also went to Shyamji Khatu and Pushkar. In Shyamji Khatu we organized a "Bhajan Sandhya" at "Radha ki Haveli".
On December 7, 2021, we organized Sudarkand at Cobra Battalion, Chitapur, Bhandara.

ABOUT SUNDARKAND -
Sundarkand is the fifth chapter of the one of the holiest book called the "Ramayana". It sings the praises of Shri Ram and gives a beautiful description of Shri Ram's ambassador Hanuman's strength, knowledge and wisdom. When Lord Rama completed his leela and was ready to return to Vaikunt, then Hanumanji requested to go with him. Lord Shri Ram then blessed Hanumanji asking him to stay behind to assist his devotees on earth during this troubled period of Kaliyuga. Therefore wherever the sweet melodious words of Ramayana/Sundarkand are recited whole heartedly Lord Hanuman makes his presence prevails automatically. The mantra's are a sound that creates the positive divine vibration. The Sundarkand is a flow of pious mantras. The moment one does Sundarkand recitation regularly, it crushes the negative thoughts.
